Our chef onboard is Mykhailo Chekan. He is a highly decorated chef, winning first place in both the prestigious 2024 Antigua Charter Show Chefs Competition and the 2024 MYBA Yacht Chef competition in Genova. His culinary journey spans over 9 years, beginning with classic Italian cuisine under a Michelin-starred chef where he mastered Italian and Mediterranean cooking. He then refined his skills at a three-Michelin-starred restaurant in France. Seeking new adventures, he followed his wanderlust to the sea and became a seafarer. His experience includes cooking for the royal family of the United Arab Emirates, where he prepared diverse cuisines from around the world. This inspired Mykhailo to develop his flair for fusion cooking, creatively combining flavors from different cultures like Mexican and Greek. When not in the kitchen, he enjoys reading, going to the gym, and surfing. His outgoing personality makes him a natural at meeting new people.
